The Imperial Commander gi is a simple none frills looking jiu jitsu gi from the outside.  However, once we check out the inside you will see the illustration of a Samurai Vader with his storm troopers and make you say Holy Shit !  This is design is done on a light breathable mesh material which will not stick to your body or add weight.  Very soft and comfortable on the skin.

Jacket - 100% cotton made with 450gsm super soft pearl weave that it pre-shrunk.  Collar or made of thick firm EVA foam which is fast trying and lightweight.

Pants - 100% cotton 11oz, drill cotton with reinforced knee padding and stretchy rope string.

Color - Custom color for this gi only - Forest Green mixed with a tint of black.

Introducing the New Black Ronin Legacy Bjj Kimono.

This gi is in honor & pays tribute to the founding fathers we trust with this sport.

On both arm biceps we created the Ronin Brand logo wrapped within a shuriken. The years 1878 & 1913 are fully embroidered underneath.

1878 - This is the birth year of Mitsuyo Maeda. He was also known as Count Combat or Conde Koma. Maeda was fundamental to the development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including through his teaching of Carlos Gracie and others of the Gracie family.

1913 - This is the birth year of Helio Gracie was a Brazilian martial artist who, together with his brother Carlos Gracie, founded the martial art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, known internationally as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).

Thanks to both of these men, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu happens to be the fastest growing martial arts trained around the world.

Inside jacket - Fully sublibated design on a breathable light mesh material. Created to represent half of Brazil & Japan.

Pant bottom leg - Kanji for the work "Legacy". This is fully embroidered.

Materials for jacket - 100% cotton 450GSM Pearl Weave - Pre-shrunk with non scented fabric softner. Lapel consists of thick firm Eva foam wrapped with 14oz. Canvas material.

Materials for Pants - 100% cotton 10oz. twill material. The same used on our Samurai model. High quality Stretchy rope string that's guaranteed not to fray/fall a part.

As tested, this gi jacket will shrink 1-1.5" over time.

Kurosawa Jiu-jitsu Kimono by Ronin.

Paying homage to the famous Japanese Film director Akira Kurosawa. Kurosawa redefined the action film with his samurai epics set in Japan’s medieval past.  Two of his famous films are  Seven Samurai (1954) and Yojimbo (1961).

The original owner/creator of Ronin Brand (Ken Lee) was a personal friend of Akira.  Kurosawa whenever he came to NYC would drop in and visit us at Kinji San MAS in Brooklyn.  In 1992 he presented our store , Kinji San an Exclusive Akira Kurosawa award for most Recognized Traditional Martial Arts Supplies.

The Artist/designer Blackout Brother is a very big fan of Kurosawa and designs toys based off his characters.  He was honored and excited to work on this project for us.

Samurai GHOST JIU-JITSU Gi by Ronin.  Limited Edition gi produced with a light charcoal black dye.  As the uniform gets washed more the material will fade and have a nice marbleized look.

Ronin brand Plain Bjj model is perfect for the everyday Brazilian jiu-jitsu training. No patches or embroidery .  Blank Bjj Gi.

Lightweight pearl weave cloth (450gsm) which offer great flexibility & comfort. A size A2 weighs less than 4.5 pounds (jacket & pants only).  The collars are made of a thick firm Eva foam material that's fast drying.

The pants are made of soft smooth 11oz. twill cotton with knee padding & croutch reinforcements.

A subtle Silver contrast stitching is used for all three color uniforms.

These uniforms run large Pre-shrunk. They will still shrink about 1-2" to fit. Please follow size chart below.
